FFE LTL seems to be short right now too. They have me running LTL and line haul stuff in between my usual thing. So far the grocery dc I have picked up at have been quick. Maybe an hour Wait to get loaded, then I just take it to a terminal.

I dont work over there full time but my guess is they will keep you moving pretty good. They are squeezing loads into other divisions any time theres an open day.

My experience with dispatch overall has been good. Company prefers Loves for fuel. Not my favorite truck stop but what can I say. If you get tired and need to pull over theres no argument. Linehaul runs teams also.

For me I team with random people, so it's challenging sometimes. But in you case you know your codriver.

They start new drivers out at .40 cpm and its paid to each driver for all miles driven. Whatever miles is on the dispatch is what you'll get even if one driver drives a lot more for whatever reason... Probably the night driver because less traffic/open roads, no wait at fuel island, most weigh stations are closed, etc.

Took our tests Friday. We both passed. The permit tests, all three, are super easy, imo. It took me 18 mins, according to the guy at the DMV, to finish all three. I missed a total of 7 questions with all three tests combined.

On to the next phase, loving it so far!!

Hey Shogun I am about to take the commercial driving program at Northwest Mississippi Community College I have been stressing about getting hired after taking the course because I have heard a lot about how hard it is to get a driving job for fresh CDL graduates you give some good information in that post about which companies hire new graduates are you located in the Memphis or North Mississippi area I am trying to meet and network with like minded people with experience in the trucking industry I myself am located in Clarksdale, Ms

You answered your own question right here...
80 and 160 hour school will hire pretty much every graduate. I've been and am currently in the same situation. I'm while IL leaned toward free training and pay, I'm thinking paying out of pocket might be better.

Last time I was in Memphis the lanes were so small I had the sides of my tires on both white lines on each side.

Then I had to back around a corner and hit a dock that wasn't lined up with anything around it and it wasn't designed for a 53 ft trailer. By the time I hit that #### dock lined up right my tractor was almost on the curb on the other side of the lot.

Then when it was time to leave the cops had two onramps shut down so I had to keep driving around the city on their tiny little lanes.

Im surprised I didn't hit anything.
