I'd say this is garbage, but...man that'd really piss off people.

Before someone gets upset I made a joke about calling people garbage...It's a joke, and if you need help pulling that stick out of it's hiding spot, I'm sure someone would help. Not me, but someone.

My humor targets everyone. I'm an equal opportunity joker.

Some groups have a professional interest in finding something "outrageous" in every situation or every public event they don't control. Being offended doesn't indicate another person acted badly. It's frequently the case it just means the perpetually offended person showed up or the "offended" person feels entitled to dictate behavior for others.

Jesse Jackson made his millions being offended & then accepting millions from the "Racists" and a seat on the company board & a certain number of high paying executive jobs. It's a scam for fun & profit and everyone off good will should stop asking the extortion ring if the marks have given over enough money yet. The extortionist will never agree you have made amends for real & imagined "crimes". Do they fight to end mistreatment of other groups by their community? No. So you know they are not interested in fairness, just power or cash.

The angry ex-wife will never call even the most generous & bankrupting alimony payment enough. It's about bankrupting the ex-husband, the worse the better.

 

Black people don't copy what they learn from the media. The media comes across it and sensationalizes it. I feel like we, or maybe you, are having 2 different discussions, especially in this last post alone. Stereotypes are one thing, it doesn't necessarily mean bad behavior. It could be something like how black people worship in church til 3pm. That's a stereotype. That's not totally true, because I have seen predominantly black churches get out early, and I have seen predominantly white churches worship til 3pm. It's ok to make fun of that. It's harmless entertainment. Now you bring up Bait Car. I happen to like that show. That's something different. That's not a stereotype. Grand theft auto doesn't have anything to do with color. That's bad behavior and that's just stupid. Your post comes off like all black people live in the hood, and steal cars. That's where I take issue with the media social and news because they sensationalize that type of black person, and that don't even begin to tell the story about black people. Here's a newsflash for you, and many of you on here: most black folks didn't grow up like the ones portrayed in Bait Car. Many of them grew up like I did. You're talking to one that didn't grow up in the hood. I grew up in Murfreesboro, TN which at the time was a small, predominantly white town. Now it's still mostly white, but fat more diverse. My wife grew up in Memphis, her dad was a hard working man and a very devoted mom. Her dad was a minister. Her whole family is full of good people. I've got a good family, good kids, good nieces and nephews, doing good some in college, others working just like many other citizens here. I'm proud of all them. I was off for 5 months last year and went to 4 graduation ceremonies in Memphis. I was so proud of all those young men and women. Just about all of them had multiple scholarship offers, multiple colleges they were accepted to, or were headed to the service. All of the gems get swallowed up because of the handful of bad apples and it's unfortunate. It won't ever be perfect for anyone, as you'll still have some that are defiant and run the streets, but it is a hell of a lot more good blacks than you know. Maybe they don't speak the dialect you like, or wear their clothes like you would like, but that's their choice. It's not an indicator of what type of person they are.

You're right he didn't say that. Nobody is saying that. Quite honestly he didn't need to say that. It was implications of what he wanted to say. Honestly, if he had just kept the convo about his trailer getting broke into without the extracurricular, the dialogue doesn't go here. Some things don't always need to be pointed out. Why not just talk about the behavior alone? Why does the demographic matter? We all know the demographics.

So you agree with the original post as to what demographic perpetrated the crime. You just don’t want him pointing it out because these people are an embarrassment to your race.

I get it… meth heads are an embarrassment to my race. But when someone steals your copper wire or air conditioning unit, I don’t get offended when they blame it on white trash meth heads. Because it probably was them.

But they don’t represent me or my family. Well, my immediate family anyway.

 

Yes they do. “Colors” came out and suddenly people in Arkansas were Crips and Bloods. Martin Lawrence did CheNaNa and hood rats became ratchet. Atlanta Housewives came out and the non ratchet crowd followed them. Big Daddy Kane came out and suddenly, everyone was sagging. Just harmless entertainment, right? If black lives really mattered, you wouldn’t support media that clowns black people. If black lives mattered, wouldn’t it behoove black people to take responsibility for their life choices? If you own it, you can change it. Oh, it’s not their fault…they didn’t have any opportunity. Sure.

Speaking of clowns, why is it that every time I see one of those news stories of mobs of people running into a store stealing, it looks like black people? I could be wrong, but it looks like the people are always predominantly black. And then they cry and complain when the store gets shut down.

So, instead of going into the grocery section, they hit the TV aisle and the electronics. Good choice! If you and Tall Mike lived right next door to each other, and you had some dude kick your door in at 2am, you would of course let him have your flatscreen and your laptop and smartphone. Of course, because you offered no resistance, the perp would come back with friends. Your lady would never be able to stay in that house and you would either move or lose your lady. Tall Mike would give him a room temperature nap. You would call him a racist. He wouldn’t care because his lady could stay in her home and relax enough to fall asleep.

 

What you’re attempting to do is stop his freeness of speech. That ain’t cool. He didn’t break any forum rules and that should have been sufficient for you. You are trying to oppress him. Being a bully and hiding behind the racism card.

You have no right to police another’s thoughts and speech. If the mods don’t have issue, neither should you. Years ago, there was this kid on TTR that got offended every time someone said anything derogatory about Swift. Swift earned their reputation, he’s not going to be able to police speech. I told him the best thing that he could do in a swift truck, is to be as skilled and professional as possible and to put his name at the top of the driver’s door. Same goes with you…if you really want to make a difference in the way that people view black people, up your game, lose the race card. If Chinatown was black, but doing everything he does for noobs and rookies, do you think that he would ever have to play the race card or would people who’ve seen his deeds speak up for him?

 

You're not understanding anything I am saying. Not all of what is being said in Six's post is accurate. You really think black people started acting this way because of Martin? You really think sagging came out because of Big Daddy Kane? That's delusion at it's finest. It's fine. We'll just disagree here. Thanks for the convo. I've got nothing further.
