I was coming off the island a while back…..got lost. Seen a po po behind me with his blue lights on but not full strength is only way I know how to describe it. I thought I was getting pulled over but no. Then while hung up in line the other day at MSM on the island one came down and watched the gate with his lights on in same fashion. So how we are supposed to know when they really wanna talk to us

Well.....as a resident of Memphis for several years now, it always depends on where you park. Not sure where you parked, but I wish you had made a thread prior to going there, because I would've told you exactly where not to park. In the future, if you have to deliver on the east or south side, don't even try it. I live on the north side and it's for the most part calmer there. Theres a secure paid parking lot on the north side of town to park at, off the Hollywood St. exit, off 40. It's a storage place, so you'd have to call for availability. Many of the locals park their trucks there for home time. Anywhere along 78 is dicey nowadays. Anywhere along the south side, along US 61, is a no-go. If you do park at a warehouse in any of those places that has overnight parking, call and make there's security, and that you can back all the way up to the dock. Other than that, plan somewhere to park prior to coming into to the city, as there are a bunch of parking options. If coming in through US 51, park at the Walmart in Millington. They don't care over there. Anywhere in Millington is fine for parking. I'm typing this not just for you, but for anyone who may have a delivery in Memphis in the future.

If you have to go to the krogers dist. Avoid parking street side of the holding lot, it’s really common for trucks to get broken into.

By the way, a thief's demographic is irrelevant. I know what you really want to say, and it's bothersome for me, because when you get amongst you're own people, or have dialogue at the truck stop or whatever, you're going to be going around painting a narrative, having everyone looking at that demographic sideways. Believe it or not, there are high character people in that demographic. You caught a bad break. It can happen to anyone, anywhere, by any demographic. I'm not starting a debate or argument, I'm only expressing how I feel about that remark. Thinking out loud.Feedman, pete781693, nikmirbre and 12 others Thank this.

It's the Oakland CA of the Mississippi Valley. The City gov is ideologically pure & crime is their tool for revenge.
-
Like Jackson Miss, all of the competent people left so cops & govt are collecting revenge not doing their jobs. Some people tolerate high crime & some other people do not.Feedman, pete781693, hope not dumb twucker and 3 others Thank this.
