The statistics show a demographic where 6% of the population commit 45-50% of homicides. Some people tolerate more crime than other people and some people are more upset by noticing reality than the reality itself.

The cities and states that are lenient or more understanding of criminals and have strict gun laws should have much much less crime, if your prescription could work. What city or state would that be?

I personally view this world through my own eyes and don’t let anyone or association or group tell me how to view it or what to think of others. I can draw my own conclusions and think for myself. And I’ve learned to judge people as individuals and not as a group. I don’t let my mind stereotype because I believe we are individuals. I’ve met the best and worst of people in all races. I can’t condemn another human just for how they might look. It’s truly not fair. I’ll judge his or her character and my interactions with them personally and go from there.

That is a nice way to look at things, and I try to do the same.
Still, sometimes it seems like it is a case of looking through rose colored glasses.

Many areas seem to have more crime with particular groups of people, be it asian or black or white or latino or samoan or... whatever.
And we can not judge people as individuals unless we know them personally on some level.

Locks are only to keep honest people honest. Every security plan has a weak point - in this case an impact and a small pry bar made the lock a non-issue.
