    Thanks everyone for all their answers -----makes me feel better, i try to make sure everything is taken care of before i take this big plunge and this was something that had occurred to me, but it seems overwhelming that the answer is NO it wont affect

    No. Everybody in the world has had a small bout of depression. The doctor will probably ask you about it. Ask how you're doing and make a note.If you'd been hospitalized it might be different?? Even then I doubt it matters much unless your medication says to not operate machinery. I think most of the medicine for depression would actually help you be more alert. What you described is nothing.
