Very true. But I've always wanted to visit Alaska. And the money on those loads would be more than worthwhile (even if I bounced all the way back) but I'm not ready to make that hop yet. Soon I'm sure.
Seen a Mercer truck today on 65 north. Had Alaska plates. Only seen one load going to Alaska. Maybe one day I'll go but it's a long dead head back lol.
That's why you don't go unless you trust your truck. And still take the barge. It's a nice ride. Also, no matter how nice those rates look, they really aren't that good. They are tourists loads. You run them cause you want to, not cause you will make a lot of money on them.
Yea i met that guy when I was at the yard last week. Think he has new Mack.. His truck number was 4 digit so I assume he's been here a long time.. Nice Flatbed guy very informative
Yeah I would be a tourist. And the loads would really be my excuse for a vacation, Alaska is the only state I've never visited.
Arrived at MERCER TOWN for orientation on Monday! Wow didn't think I was going the right way to mercer but how cool that it's in the city!! What awesome looking buildings on main st!!
If you decide to explore the town, do not go west on foot. Go easy towards down town, and only on the road between operations and orientation. That road is safe and has cameras all the way to downtown.
LOL, Mercer is in the hood. But I'm sure your found some of the best Peeps in the world when you went in the lounge. Don't be shy, introduce yourself.
