Hold on a minute, I full well know you are going to pay taxes on fuel, that's a given. But in common terms when referring to paying IFTA, that's means. Any additional monies paid. That's the easiest way to do it , pay the cheapest pre tax, price. But as readily seen in this thread. , its a hard concept to grasp. For some. Manytimes. Just getting someone to a breakeven point is all you can accomplish. Keep in mind i was filing fuel tax reports for individualsta yes before iftacame. Along. I had 2 and 6 guys leased, I got IFTA. Under a pretty good handle,
I liked going across the cross Bronx at 3:30 am. Crossing the GW into Jersey. NYC is pretty at night. Day break is better but only on the weekend.
The one an only time there I delivered part of a crane there near the Bronx area....NIGHTMARE!!!!....it's hard enough to maneuver a full size pickup truck thru there...trying to narrow down which construction site is my delivery point because it's about 30 job sites in front of you. Lol. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
I've not been driving as long as most have, but in 5 1/2 years I've never had a single service failure. If I say I'm going to be somewhere, I'll be there. A few times that's meant cooking the books, but 99.999999% of the time I stay legal. I may cut it really close, but I am and always have been really good at planning my trips, and knowing within 15 minutes of when I will be somewhere even coast to coast. However, this is trucking and inevitably something always comes up.... I usually plan for an extra 2 hours to spare a day. When I start my last break before delivery, I just make it an extended one.
