So i guess UPS isn't picking up mail from the Loves in rolla MO... I Sent my oil sample from there and when i dropped it in the box it was almost full..
The problem being is that you can't see the corrosion underneath the sheathing. Yeah the cabling can be expensive.... I built my own cables when I installed my invertor. Bought 00 cable from Amazon along with tinned connectors, and bought a hydraulic crimper from Harbor Freight.
There’s no point in replacing wires for the heck of it. Get yourself a decent multifunction meter, pull each wire off one at a time and start checking what the resistance is on each wire. You would use the OHM function on your meter. If a wire has a high reading, it’s needs to be replaced.
I don't really see much value in the Maxwell, unless you lived/worked in the northern frozen tundras. I like the AGM batteries, they are pricey though. I saw some by Thermo King last year that had a 48 month replacement warranty. But, so far I have gotten over 2 yrs out my Interstates and at $100 +/- each, that'll probably be the route I take when I need to replace them.
You need to unhook both sides of the same wire, then take your leads from the meter and put one on each end of the wire.
A Maxwell is a super capacitor. Have you ever seen what happens when a normal capacitor fails? Id rather be sitting on top of a stick of dynamite than a super capacitor. It would blow the cab right of the frame of the truck.
