Nah i couldn't make it at mercer with the Rental fee's and 1.30 a mile loads I'll keep pulling the Chicken around i love all the free food i get. Got me a nice medium size freezer in my truck so i can store about 50 lbs of meat
I did almost $10k on a Indiana to Seattle and back last week...$4600 this week on 2500 all miles. Been good last couple months. I guess I'll go ahead splurge for the omnitracs...
I'm positive in the almost 3 years here, that I've never pulled a load for a $1.30. I have absolutely seen loads that cheap, but never needed to take them. Glad the free chicken makes up for the 'forced' dispatch and paid by the mile for you.
1.30 was After Deadhead. A good portion of the loads i found over on the Van side that didn't get Canceled where right around 1.50 1.60 a mile without DH. By the time u add in DH it dropped big time. Then when u run over the Mercer millage for van That added up pretty fast.. I Ended up paying over $700 a month for a rental fee... Oh its more then chicken The force dispatch doesn't bother me as i still don't go into NYC thats the main area i won't run. Paid the mile works great with the way rates are. I Get paid to deadhead 600 miles quite often.
I get paid to deadhead also, but it's already in my rate. You switched to vans at near the bottom of the market, and didn't know where to position yourself to help alleviate the dh miles. Pretty sure you had made your mind you was leaving regardless.... Van rental is what it is, works for me as a tax deduction and the 3-4 months of the year that I take off I have no payment, and I'm doing a few drop and hooks a month. You probably paid around 600/month on your flatbed 'rental', including the maintenance, no???
Why is he a troll? We all have different experiences here, for example you get paid to deadhead, while the rest of us have to subtract deadhead from whatever the rate is.
