In a another week, it'll be your turn to sit at the house and cherry pick the freight.
And by living in Texas, you can always get good rates going home, then sit and wait for the good load out.

Yea, I left out Sunday early afternoon for Zachery. Loaded on Monday morning for upper Pensala, Mi. and now at home. Heading for Delaware tomorrow and should be in New Mexico Friday. Got the whole week already booked up.

Does Mercer have much freight coming out of the east. Don't seem to notice a lot of Mercer trucks over this way and the ones I see are headed south or West empty.

Mercer has a lot of eastern freight. You just don't see alot of Mercer trucks because most of us don't care to run in the east and we get complete choice of every run. I've haven't been north of D.C. in approx. a year. Any you see running empty is just on their way to pickup a load out. I doubt they are going very far empty being near the east coast.
Most Mercer freight in the east is brokered out to other carriers because of us picky drivers. The Mercer drivers that live in the eastern states, really clean up.

Stay away from Texas right now, especially El Paso area. This will be our 4th night waiting to get a load out and still not on top of the list.. Hopefully tomorrow will be our turn.
We just met another Mercer driver that lives here and he's quiting.
I still think Mercer is the best company I've worked for. Just not a good area

Now if only those loads paid better would it be worth it to pull em and then deadhead out to a better area... :biggrin_25525:
