    Katz,

it won't really affect IFTA. Nothing says your truck was filled up when you get fuel. You just put in 54 GL, They only look at the total miles and total gallons (and state miles). For Mercer this is sent in as fleet totals. Even if done by truck, how many times do you get fuel in three months? This will only raise you mpg average by a tenth or so, if even that, over that period. Sometimes it's just better to leave the company out of it, really, what can they do to change the information? Worst case now YOU have submitted a falsified fuel ticket. I'm sure there's some law...

Just leave it like it is and you'll be fine. Nice of you to let the fuel desk know they have a problem with their calibration though. They didn't seem in a hurry to check it, although if they were smart they'd shut that pump down until checked.

I went 2 years with the gas meter at my house not registering any usage. I reported it twice once I discovered it. Took them two years to figure it out then get upset about it. Oh well. And one winter had record high prices that would have more than doubled my "normal" bill. I did my part so my conscience was more than clear on the issue.

So you topped off your tanks & only paid for 54 gallons?

    Their screw up. Not yours!

Does any one know if they lowered our percentage?

What? Lowered our percentage? What even makes you ask that (I'm afraid to ask)?

Saw an add today advertising 74.5%

This same add also says they have an urgent need for O/O in the midwest. My personal opinion is the only thing they need urgently in the midwest is freight! And decent paying freight at that.

usually what happens is that new people will get that contract rate. Unless they modify our contracts in writing, and give us I think 30 days notice, the rate can't be changed. if we do not "accept" the change then we are considered to have terminated the agreement. Not fair, but that's how it goes.

    that page also says:

Free TripPak ....... I pay for mine, how about you?

mentions PrePass and EZPass, kind of implying they are 'free' ... I have my own EZPass and know of no Mercer plan to get that for us.

and "paid satellite communications available" ... as far as I know that is only for the "special teams" that few of us have anything to do with.

Have to wonder who wrote that because I never seen a recruiting add from them that seemed out of line from how things are for the typical driver. Maybe you should make that call and report back to us Mr Redd

OK, that's what I'm going to do. Sounds good to me. Thanks Ray.

They did put a cone on the fuel pump right away. I don't blame them for not wanting to go outside.

Yup, that's what they said and they just let me go. Merry Christmas to me!

It helps as the last two loads were both 13' high and I used a lot of fuel. And rising fuel surchage seems to get cancelled out with crappy winter freight rates.

What is an annual review and what am I supposed to do?

Hopefully this will be my last Mercer rookie question. It's been almost a year since I started. Time flies by...
