Yeah, it is often hot. I had to dodge it all the time when I took that local for 2 months.

 

I should be doing some trip planning & cheap fuel searching.... Probably a place to do my PM as well in route... Maybe I can wait for the PM until this weekend... I got to check my mileage.

I know I-35 south & US-52 into New Mexico.... I just have to figure out if I'm going to run back roads thru MO to get to 35 or if it'll be quicker to just run 80 back into Des Moines.... Decisions Decisions.....

Your right... It is 54! 52 stretches down to El Paso in New Mexico... Right? That is a long boring road that I always get pulled over on!

Right now I'm at the World's Largest Bada Bing Ching Ching truck stop. Loading in Rock Island in the morning.

I'm sitting here looking at the map... It looks like it would be quicker to run 80 back to Des Moines, 35 down to Emporia, US-50 to Hutchinson, KS then KS-61 down to 54. Then in OK I jump over onto 412 then I-25 & south into Santa Fe.

 

Oh to be back on the road!!! lol
