TX & NM have cheap freight all together. It doesn't matter what kind of trailer your draggin
-
first in first out DOES NOT move you to the bottom of the list if you refuse a load from Mercer. (Just so you know). The dispatchers simply move to the next guy on the list. The first in first out is bad because there is NO --you scratch my back I 'll scratch yours....no matter how nice you are and how
many crap loads you haul as a favor...they will not and cannot return the favor. -
A 2 &1/2 year old post, I doubt they are even still on this forum.

Brickman- I saw your post and while you were right on on most points I did want to point out an error on your info on Mercer;s dispatch system. I am absolutely positive that refusing a load on Mercers 1st in 1st out system DOES NOT send you to the bottom of the list of trucks in your area.---For any reason...they would be replacing walls on a weekly basis if they did that to most truckers.
Say you were in CA and waited 2 days to be on top of the list to be offered freight and then they offered you a partial at 50 cents a mile and because you refused it they moved you to the bottom of the other 120 empty trucks ---I would drive my rig thru the bldg--that is nuts! They do not do that. If you turn it down they simply move to the next truck down on the list..no big deal..no bump offs - no take downs.

Obviously he has not made it this far forward yet!

Waiting for him to quote in the political forum. Abraham lincoln thread....
Lilbit and outerspacehillbilly Thank this. -
We have one of those?

I got lucky. About 1-2 hours after I got empty, if that, I had/have the load of tank engine/tranny combo going to Pa. Not going back there again, unless have a load coming back or the inbound pays enough to pull cheap or empty out.
