the in cab scan is the feature i like best, unload , sign the bills and scan before i leave the site. i agree the in truckstop scanning is a real pain, and the non postage envelopes will still be available, i asked thurs when in louisville.

:biggrin_25524: just for information, seems the flat scanners where ya load one page at a time by placing the scan item onto glass wont work even if twain compliant. so i swapped the new hp deskjet 2050 scanner printer copier i bought for the hp officejet4315v copier, priinter, scanner, fax i had installed on the home computer. installed it then for the truck trippak setup. the compatibility tester said it appeared it wouldnt work. but i tested it and it worked fine.

it seems as if the setup is trying to convince you to use trippak 467 scanner, but it seems i got around that with the multi page feed scanner. i never could get the flatbed(glasstop )scanner to work. the one that worked fed scan pages thru like a fax machine.

hope this helps, the download of the trippak software and registering it to work under the mercer code was easy, there is a feature where you can also save to your harddrive a copy of all the documents you have scanned and sent. the interface is easy to work, the bear was finding the correct scanner. seems an auto feed is needed

Another agent to add to the list of crooked agents - LGM (Gaylord, MI).

Pulled a bait & switch on me. Took a no tarp load since I've been sick for a few days, it ended up with a full tarp job the whole lenth of the trailer.

I called to complain, all they said was basically "I'm sorry, the shipper didn't mention anything about tarping." Didn't even offer monetary compensation. I would have taken a $2.30/mile load instead of $1.90/mile if I knew I had to tarp!

Since Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee agents have that area covered well, I will never haul anything for LGM from now on!!

Mine (HP4400 Wally-world special) seems to work fine.

I just hooked mine up and tried it. Didn't even bother to see if mine is compliant, or run a compatibility test.

I'd try your scanner first if you already got one before buying a new unit.

Apparently so. They could become my favorite agent if they assumed every load must be tarped and charged the shippers accordingly.

Some of you guys sure have become Mercerized....:biggrin_25520:

Thousands of O/O's would LOVE to have these big problems....

Reminds me of the time I was in Fontana and #80-something on the board... I got a $2.80 cent per mile load, to the truck, going to Bishop, CA after everyone ahead of me turned it down because it was supposed to snow... this was January of 2002.

    I'm just saying....
