mobile scanning not in use yet. I have my doubts how well that will work once they try it. Too many variables that will affect quality of final image, including a lot of room for "operator error".

Then stop the nonsense w/scanning if it does not work and send it in via
Yellow box. -
It is best to start the scanning now & get it worked out and into a routine. -
it will work, just a bad scanner. everything breaks sooner or later. this case it's just a lot sooner than expected.
did not drive near a yellow box last two trips. would have to borrow car now and drive into NJ to truckstop just to drop them off. scanning will pay for itself in reduced out of route miles quickly for many (but not all) drivers.
last envelopes I sent from Canada arrived next day. One dropped off in Cali took four days, one from UT took five. I was passing through Louisville before either trip arrived there. They are having problems finding overnight services that will handle their envelopes at rate that fits into their current pricing structure. $6/month is no longer a sustainable rate for the service offered, and yellow boxes are starting to disappear. I've gone ten days without being anywhere near one.
If you've dealt with lost paperwork with either trippak or USPS you'd appreciate the scanning option. The only person to lose the paperwork in that case is the driver, can't blame anyone else. -
When I was in Louisville last Thursday I inquired as to why they were getting rid of the envelopes. I kinda liked them!
From what I have been told is that the price has gone up massively over the last year and Mercer has not passed the cost on to us. They have been eating it! -

well, went through tech support, got call back from tech in CA and did remote session. reinitialized the scanner and scanned in first trip. went to scan 2nd trip and scanner had completely disappeared. Not a trace of it in the system! Called back to same tech and now the company is totally baffled, never saw anything like this happen before. Aren't I just the lucky one to bring it to their attention
So, now waiting on TripPak to get back to me, will probably send a replacement, which then brings up the issue of WHERE to send? Stay where I am for additional days until it arrive? Kind of need it in the truck.
Let's see how this all works out, someone else may have issues to resolve too. -
On a good note, just checked email and already got my statement for the load. Not bad for sending it in after 2pm, wasn't expecting that.
The system works, just not my scanner -
