end of May through Sep I was dedicated, but still pull out of the same place regularly. Working on building relationships with some other new local customers, one of which I really like. Sometimes two or three loads a day, deliver to or pick up from job sites. Other than the mud they're always good loads.

Most of the loads on the board can go either trailer. I see flat only more than step only. But that can play a big part in what area you are looking at to.

Mine is a 10/38, didn't know there was an 8/40 made. 53' steps are a waste and seem a little flimsy to me, unless you want to haul containers.

How are you doing with your step? Regrets ?

8/40 is by doonan. Some people or dealers don't have them due to the 8 top vs 11 because some trucks can't clear 8 on a turn, I can.

I do ok with my step. I think I could do a little better with a regular flat. But I bought a step so I could haul more equipment. Which Mercer doesn't seem to do alot of, that pays good anyway. I haul more flat freight than step freight. If I wouldn't have got this trailer for a screaming deal I would have bought a regular flatbed.

I'm thinking about rather buying a step and staying with mercer. Or finding a company which will pay at least $1.15 plus 100% fsc and run under their own authority and pulling their own trailer.

Why would you want to work that cheap?

Does Mercer happen to have flatbeds you can rent off of them? Thanks

You can lease one, price depends on what they have available at the time.
