yep we love it at mercer. really, best folks i have dealt with in 30 years.

 

Thanks for all the posts and replys about Mercer and how it is to work for them. It really helps make up my mind. I do have another question for all you Mercer drivers...how's the dry van division? Do I go flat bed or dry van?

 

Flat.. I just don't know how the guys can make it with the Vans here.. It seems just by looking at our board that only 25% of the frieght is van freight. But they do keep on leasing them on.. I know a couple of guys that started on with a van and ended up switching. I can go to the Mercer yard and see a couple of van guys there all the time but I can not remember the last time I saw one on the road. Must not run the same lanes as I do or something.

 

I will be at Mercer on monday for sign on and for the orientation. I will post more about them !!

 

As Shadowed said, go with a flat. I look at that van freight on the board and wonder how the heck them guys can even make enough money to eat.

 

Any Mercer drivers going to the MATS and planing on camping out at the yard?

 

I would but I don't have one of them house trucks. So I probably won't fit in. Lol

 

Only if a load takes me thru there at that time... Other then that I can not justify making a special trip.

 

You think Mercer would be giving rides down to the show? Or just let us use the company van?haha
