    It's been a while since I posted here. I've been busy. How are all you fellow Mercers doing?

    This month has been terrific so far. Gross will clear $10k mark for the first two weeks, thanks to a little bit of luck and great job by my coordinator Eric.

    The first load out of home time paid $4,700 for 2,340 miles. It was supposed to be a team load, but I guess they couldn't find anybody avail in the area.

    Alas, the profit on that run has been allocated for food stamps so welfare recipients can buy cigarettes/booze/weed with their own money, sit on a couch watching TV all day long and keep voting for demogogue politicians. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside thinking about it.

    Also my fuel mileage has been down for some reason (which I may have fixed - we'll see), and I spent almost $400 on tolls - #### NY and PA.

    Why Hell Katz-you should feel honored to send your cash to these fine examples of what America is becoming. Unemployment is up to about 2 yrs now. You can't expect them to give that up and find a job so soon. Just take what they leave you and make sure to vote in Nov.

    Well, I'd like to vote, but first, I got "becoming an American-citizen" to do. I got my green card a couple years ago so I got another couple years before I can take the citizenship test. Hopefully by 2012 election.

    Since I can't vote yet, I've been donating to political candidates here and there. Just donated to Sharron Angle. Would be nice to get rid of Dingy Harry at last.

    Unemployment is up to 2 years!? Isn't it wonderful the money we earned is getting used to prop up beggers so they can be choosers. I don't mean to be hostile to the victims of Obamanomics, but even in central valley CA where unemployment is well into double digit, there are jobs available. I know it, because my landlord/adapted parent's wife has been looking for a job for the guy who tagged along to my trip to Tulsa. But, he sez he's too good to flip hamburgers and keeps mooching off his GF...

    This is outrageous, why wasn't I informed that imigration was letting Californians immigrate into this country!!?!:biggrin_25522:
    Here I thought, Arizona new laws were keeping them on the other side of the fruit nazis border. First the British (BP) unleashing a weapons on mass destruction upon our southeastern borders and now this!!! What is this country coming to? :biggrin_25522:

    Yeah, it's a big problem ain't it? LOL. AZ and other neighboring states might as well keep tight control along CA boader (but after I move to NV or TX).

    How's Mercer working out for you so far? Hope all is well.

    JB Hunt hit my truck (TA in Valley Grove, WV) pulling out of the parking space next to mine, with a tail swing on my very first load with Mercer. Did 1 more short run, then DH 227 miles to Louisville and put the truck in the shop.

    Truck = $64k cash (2 weeks prior)
    FB equipments =5k (less than a week prior)
    Expenses to date = 7k
    First thing Mercer Claims dept said when I called in to say I got hit while parked at a truck stop (Why what happen, don't tell me JB Hunt hit you??)= PRICELESS!!! (How the #@ck did he know!!):biggrin_2555:

    I've been out since 5/28 - I'm flying back to Louisville (from Brooklyn, NY) tomorrow to pick up my truck and get back to work. Their insurance took too long to contact so I went through my insurance to get the truck fixed (got to pay 1K deductable when picking the truck up tomorrow) and I get to deal with their claims adjuster to recoop my loss. I spent more $$ while home (laser printer, 4 camera DVR, digital camera - for the truck sitting over # Mercer whse) and gain few inches around the waist. It's good thing, my pockets aren't that shallow. :biggrin_255:
