Probably. But you definetely weren't in the worst carcasses I saw.
Glad you came back home safely. Thanks for your service. -
Hey katz, I don't know what the deadhead is, but does that load fit into your budget? or is this just a get me the hell outta here and we will try to break even kinda load?
-
It's what would have been great LTL loads turned into crap.
I was sitting at 80 miles from home on Thursday, trying to squeeze in one more run before I go home.
Eric the coordinator called me to see if I'd be interested in a pair of LTLs going to NY & NJ totaling $6k, so I took it. And things went downhill from there.
As it is, it doesn't fit my budget. This might have been a decent load a few months ago, and I'll stil make some profit. But when you can do a bunch of 500-mile runs at $2.00+ a mile for higher net profit, all the aggrevation I went through just doesn't seem to be worth it. -
Hang in there. "Some days dirt, some days diamonds". You are showing a lot of character.
-
Yeah, I'll be all right. Just beating myself for making a stupid decision. I should have seen it coming (multiple pick ups, one of them at Army Depot, over a holiday weekend). This is what happens when I get a little too greedy and trade in my familiy time for extra profit. It serves me right LOL.
And I figured other people can learn from my mistakes while getting chuckle out of it.
Like somebody's signature says, I may be a character but I'm not sure if I have character LOL. -
OK my truck just got a level 1 in IL and passed....yea.....and since the Louisville insp was due in Aug anyway this is great!
-
Where at in IL? Good stuff! How many container haulers where pulled in getting inspected?
-
How's it goin katz. Has your luck turned yet?
-
Texas Dot has been going crazy at the scales on 45 between Houston and Dallas. They had the creepers out at 5 am most of the week. Don't forget the two straps in the first 5 feet and no further than 2 feet apart. I am sure that every one knows that, but we sometimes need a gentle reminder. Be safe out there.
