That I agree. Price of looking cool, I guess. New top of the line Fontaines don't have fancy bumpers like those. More open area to let air flow through.

I suppose I could relocate the license plate to the center panel just above chicken lights and get rid of the panels on the side, or have some louvers stamped in (that actually might look cool).

I agree it's a bit more than I'd pay for it.

My 2-turbo CAT has been averaging about 6 mpg.

Good. Now I can sleep better at night.

6 days & no posts? Come on now! I know freight has picked up a little.... But not that #### much!

 

Freight has been slow for me.....guess I've been in the wrong places at the wrong time.

 

Not sure what I was thinking bringing a load down here to Florida, especially one I had to put a 8ft tarp on [to #### hot to be tarping]. Not one load on the board for a flatbed anywhere around me..

 

Don't feel bad. I'm over here on the dollar board. Reloading out of here for cheap... Just to get out of here. I checked the Lubbock area & nothing for 350 miles.

 

I just sat a week near Stockton, but I didn't want cheap loads, or onion loads. Rates are all over the place, just have to wait for something good. I'll be on Long Island on Mon morning and if there's no loads when I'm empty I'll head right back to NJ. No good places to sit and wait up around there either, they don't want truckstops spoiling the natural beauty of the area I suppose

 

You might get ac units out of there. Will probably be LTL tho. I hated going down there. That is one of the things I hated about dealing with my coordinator. I told him the areas I did not like to go into because of outbound freight. Sometimes I would let the fool talk me into going into an area I did not like. He would say well; it is early in the week. You never know. I would tell him yes I do know. Get in an area, then I would say well; where are these loads you was talking about?.... Well; sometimes this happens.... sometimes nothing... next time I tell you I don't want it don't bother trying to talk me into it...

 

Freight was good for me. I went home for 12 days & I guess the bottom fell out. I loaded out of Sweetwater last Monday for Jersey.... Then reloaded in Philly on Wednesday afternoon for Denver....

I'm not happy about being in Denver & I'm preplanned out of here for $1.17...... I hate the dollar board. But it is better then that crap we pull out of Pueblo.

 

Sweetwater,,,, drywall? High dollar freight there redd... What did I tell you about denver? and put some fuel in them tanks....
