Good for most part. Lot better than Iraq. At least the weather and work load. Have had a real tough month of Sept. July, Aug no losses. Have lost 3 Special Forces, 3 SEALS, and another operator assigned to their team . Glad this month is over. Will have memorial ceremony again on Mon for 2 latest losses. Proud to be invited to attend, but when they play the Ballot of the Green Beret, Taps, Apache flyover it really makes you hurt to know we have lost such special men.
But it is an honor to work for them and I really enjoy it.
Stay safe and don't haul cheap freight. lol

 

Now thats funny. It got you to show up. The agent was hopeing you wouldnt leave after finding out what you were really picking up.

 

Avoiding the yard like the plague do too a cracked bumper, some paint peeling on top of the sleeper and a small crack in the hood.. All there when I leased on but now with the crack down on truck appearance and sticking all the spare change into mechanical issues there is none left to fix the cosmetic ones right now..

 

Refuse auto lifts out of Santa Paula, CA. I have 5 stops between there and New York, so far I've got 2 off, both delivered to a personal residence. The first guy tried to pick up the 2000 lb lift with a small bobcat, about the time it came off the truck the bobcat did a nose dive almost crushing my storage boxes on the trailer. The 2nd had a tractor with a frontend loader and it wasn't to bad other then the tree limbs I cleared out above the street with the top of my truck and stacks trying to get to his house. Plus it looks like I'm going to spend some time patching my tarps.

 

So what happens if you arrive at a residence and the home owner has no means of getting their lift off of your flatbed?
