Hoya-hey and Hoka(or Hop-ta) hey are two different greetings. Hoya-hey is more similar to Yan-ta hey, but it's a different dialect. There is no easy direct translation other than. It being a respectful way of adding power to preceeding words...and yes, it is used as a battle cry as wwell. You're thinking Navajo. No butt kicking here. You don't know if you don't ask.

Keeping positive attitude and outlook is very important. I have many friends and acquintances older than you (85% of Bonneville racers seem to be seasoned citizens). Naturally, they have assortment of problems.

One of them, his name is Buddy James, one of the most positive and upbeat people you'd ever meet, was diagnosed with some kind of cancer about 6 years ago. It was paint that got to him (former PPG rep/trainer).

The doctors gave him 6 months. He said f-word that, went through some chemotherapies, and proved the doctors wrong. Today, cancer is nowhere to be seen in his CT scan.

Rather than retiring, he became a captain of a barge hauling petroleum products a couple years ago, and teaching PE (track) part time at some high school in Alabama. I can only wish I'd have that much energy when I reach my late 60s.

I'm not really like Buddy (I'd be inclined to sell everything I got and go have fun, if I were in his shoe), but it taught me you could be writing off what's left of your life by giving up.

Glad to hear TTR members were able to motivate you to keep going. Good to have you back!

No, sir. Just different. Tell me from which Anglo tribe you hail and I will tell you interesting stuff about yourself. History is kind of one of my interests.

Add: but I won't hijack SP's thread to do it. I'll start another one.
