OH! yes there are many valid reasons for Mexican trucks not to run the 48 states ! Though NAFTA states that U.S. drivers can run Mexico as well..YOU BETTER NOT!!The cartels run the country and American drivers will end up kidknapped for ransom or dead after they shoot the driver and take the load!
Most of the cops at the local level are hand picked by the cartels and on their payroll. As is much of the state and federal police. Kiddknapping is the second largest crime problem in Mexica. If they think a company will pay to get their driver back....The Mexican police will rob every single American trucker they can. It's called MORDIDA!
They will pull the truck over and take evrything of value the driver has.
If he complains they will pull some dope out of their pocket, arrest him for possession and he will go to jail!
Foreigners do not have rights in Mexico! NO MONEY? No food, no medicine, no lawer, No nothing!
We really don't want to talk about the courts in Mexico do we???
So the deal, while on paper seems ok. IT"S NOT!Now let's address the damage it will do to the trucking industry. All of the warehouses currently in the border towns in the U.S, will close and tens of thousands of hispanic Americans in the poorest are of the U.S. will be put out of work!
The trucking co. that now haul international freight will be pushed into the domestic market.
The lower rates the Mexicans will charge and the movement of trucks into the domestic market will cause rate to fall! LIKE NOW!
Before you start calling me a liar and a racsist... Yo hablar espanol y vivo in Mexico con mi esposa! So I know what I'm talking about! WE DON'T EVEN WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE ROADS.

How would you guys in Mexico like it if in the next year about ten million Chinamen entered mexico and began working for less money? How would Mexicans take it if they found they had to accept even lower wages if they wanted to work?
when Mexicans got to the point that they could not support their families... (they are alomost there now) what would be their reaction?
Mexico and Mexicans are so proud... why do you guys think it is the responsiblilty of the United States to solve your problems? There is no excuse for Mexico to be in the condition it is.
Mexico has oil wealth, minerals and everything to be an economic giant.
Why should the American worker loose his job and work for slave wages for the failures of Mexico?
Do you want to lose your country?
Do you want the North American Union?
When Americans drivers start losing their homes and everthing they worked all their life for because of lowered rates due to Mexican Trucks, do you think we will just sit on our hands?
This is not a threat or supporting any kind of violence. This is talking reality!
There will be a back lash!
Relations between the the two countries will decay!
If a Mexican company wants to come up here and hire Americans at the going wages, Heck I might drive for them!
But I'm tired of seeing my countrymen put out of work by agreements that never should have been made!

Ok... don't send them crap, problem solved.

Unless, of course, you have made a market for your American products in Mexico.

I don't see a problem. Return the favor. Match with tariffs for Mexican imports to the states. See who backs down first.
