As a whole, Mexican workers are used to living on a lot less than American workers.

Trade wars are non-productive for both sides.

Do you really think the big three want any tariffs in either direction? They would be the biggest loosers.I am trying to figure out what the problem is,you enforce dot rules on them, treat them like the Canadian trucking companies.Only allow their backhauls to Mexico, do any American truckers want to go to Mexico?

Most big U.S. carriers have subsidiaries down there anyway.

Right , so I really cant figure out what all the fuss is about.People keep saying they will drive the rates down,if they only haul Mexico bound freight how will that affect eastcoast freight.Or am I not seeing the whole picture??

By the rules, they won't really make a dent.

There are currently 118 Mexican trucks in the cross border program. Jimmy Hoffa would have you believe there are tens of thousands of trucks waiting to tear across the border to all corners of the U.S. at $0.05 a mile.

Maybe Hoffa isnt seeing the picture sign the Mexican truckers up for his union on their way in.Then all of our rates will go up!!
