    Here's the thing, if this was existing damage and you didn't document it when you took the truck your screwed.
    If this damage was because of you , well you owe the bill.
    All this kind of stuff should have been in your contact that you signed.
    They aren't going to just pay the cost of your damage and let you go free of charge.

    When I drop the truck it wasn't no damage I'm sure they have video when I pull in the yard

    Again if you didn't document the damage on a exception form and have it signed off before you took the truck off property your screwed.
    We're you 1099 contract lease or 1099 employee.

    If this is company driver than the charges are illegal, even if driving as 1099 and not leasing.

    True but, most of these 1099 outfits have damage responsibility in their contracts drivers don't even realize what the signing.

    Driving someone else's truck as a private contractor, you are really an employee.
    If it goes to court employee wins.
    @driverdriver needs to research what an actual private contractor is.
