A member can be "sent on vacation" to cool his heals for repeated infractions or violations of the Terms of Service.. or can be permanently banned after having been warned/infracted and they continue the arguement, sometimes on forums, sometimes through private messages. Suffice it to say if they have been banned there IS a reason

A member can be retired at their own request.

    Make sense?

Cybergal, Mastertech and smurf-316 Thank this.

As long as we are on the topic I am curious about the infractions. I see on some people thingy it says 0/2 or something. How does that work anyway?

    Hopefully this kinda explains infractions.http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...enter/41244-infractions-terms-of-service.html

When someone has that on their thingy, the 0/2 means they have recently received an infraction worth 2 points. Infractions have different point amounts and if the total get to 20 the member gets banned.

Yes, we get a LOT of spammers and, of course, they are banned ASAP. Some others are just simple-minded idiots that add NO value to anything or anyone. So, they are sent elsewhere to spread hate, idiocy, spam, links, etc. We have learned from almost SIX years now that we simply MUST run a very tight ship or it gets WAY out of hand if we do not. I DREAD banning anyone...but we can only take so much. Really, we RARELY ban anyone UNLESS it is an obvious spammer (like that lawyer the other day who we WATCHED read rules, and spammed anyway)...he was gone in an instant. We are a place for information and discussion...not a piece of bread for to lay spam on. We have ZERO tolerance for spam is all.
