Michigan Cuts Back on Snow Plowing

That can be a real intelligent move.

In our area, alot of the accidents that happen are on the county roads.

 

Wow another state gone to the dogs

One year forgetting they close some of them roads in the UP for snowmobiling
We were winter backpacking up by the porks for a week only to come out and find out the road were parked off of was closed for the year
Talk about cold and pissed

 

In order to save on overtime...nice. That kinda reminds me of the peoples republic of Madison... we can't put stop lights at 4 way intersections until there have been a certain amount of traffic fatalities... Gods Honest Truth... may lightning stike me.. was that thunder?!?

 

I live near a very busy intersection one of the roads is M-66 at this corner everyday there are 1,200 cars that go to the college, school buses from all over the county bringing kids to the career center etc....we can have a STOP LIGHT because not enough people get killed here every year........!!!

My road gets plowed pretty well, BUT it is TRUE our state SUCKS!!!!!!

 

Its been gone for a longggggg time. One good thing about not plowing is some roads will actually improve during heavy snow.

M39/Southfield and Sibley off Exit 34 come to mind.

God put it there and God will remove it!!

 

As a resident of Indiana who happens to live near the Illinois line, I can attest to the shotty job done with snow removal in this state. That said, the policy mentioned in the above quote was first adapted by Wyoming. Indiana hasn't quite perfected it yet.

As to the Wolverine, well what can u expect from a state that's #### near bankrupt.

 

here where i live in Indiana they plow the highways and all the 'main roads' but the secondary ones they seem to wait till they know it'll create a big ridge of compacted snow and ice before they plow... which of course just clears off the ice underneath...

oh.. and the plow guy plows in all the cars on the street i live on... is it so freaking hard to hit a button and turn the plow to the other side of the road?
