100% agree. Everyone is in danger on the side of the road. It isn't like they are not aware of the fact.

That DOT bar is intact, maybe its a really Great Dane :)

Officer was still seatbelted. My guess is, he had just stopped and had not got out of car
Then theres the likely chance truck has Canadian plates and was being very dangerous.
I"ve seen 2 of them start changing lanes when a car is there, and they did it anyway.

I cross the border at Port Huron many times a week usually. I am no longer surprised by the antics of the transplanted Canadians.

Two unnecessary deaths, because of an agenda.

Indiana and Illinois CMV LEO’s are just as stupid about pulling over trucks, anywhere and everywhere, for randoms and/or selective enforcement. I have zero respect or empathy for any of them.

I have a nephew that's Tennessee Highway Patrol so I can empathize. While I agree it's not the best idea to do much of anything on the shoulder of a busy interstate there's just way too many people out here that don't pay attention to the task at hand. Busy looking at their phone or whatever. Some people don't even move to the left when they clearly see something ahead on the shoulder. Are they that stupid or just don't care? I dunno. But it's a dangerous job and pulling people over is what they do...

Working hard today. Barely finished with one, as soon as the Truck started rolling off the shoulder, Trooper sped around him, to the hammer lane. Ran 80-90 mph+ . Caused all sorts of panic right in front of me. Drives a mile and pulled over another Truck. Left 2 wheels of DOT out in traffic, about 2 feet. Pickup in right lane freaks out and comes to a complete stop. EB I-94 mm 233-234. Trooper nearly caused 2 wrecks within 2 minutes. All in the name of safety. They’re a bunch of Idiots. I got it all on camera. They’re a danger to motorists. ####ing joke.
