Bendix decided it was a conglict between their soft ware and volvo software for the holl assist. They finally came up with new software and my desler installed it and no more light. But.... the hill assist became very agressive, it would come on a lot more, sometimes when I wasn't even on a hill just backing up in a parking lot. It became second nature to just hit the off button. They said you couldn't disable the hill assist completely. PITA.

My truck, 2013 KW T700, is in the shop for that exact problem. As suggested to you earlier it was a broken tone ring.

sorry it is soooo late. but that would just require the dealer updating their bendix vendor software before giving it a software update using Premium Tech Tool. that is volvo's software. ps... that is if you have a volvo. i went through this issue before.

it is the volvo dealer that must update the vendor software downloading it from the trucksdealerportal.com then they can go into Premium Tech Tool (volvo's software) and update the brake ecu software from volvos software. not bendix.
