Mid States Express Inc.

Tractor 39304 was spotted in Davenport with a sticker in the front window reading "Dependable Transport" with a Missouri License plate. None of the Mid-States stickers had been removed. Still two tractors sitting at the local International dealership.

 

Where was the terminal here in Springfield, MO? I'm job hunting and I don't want to step in a pile of something if they didn't sell the property and open another company under a different name but I can pass any info on to you if needed.

 

It is located west of Springfield just off Chestnut before you get on I-44. There is nobody there..it is empty so don't worry...this company is done for forever...the brothers running it are running for cover right now...I bet they can hear that song..."what ya gonna do when they come for you, bad boyz boyz's!! " ...haaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I know it's been a while since I've posted here but I have been offline for a while and just getting back into the hang of things. I have just spent a couple of hours catching up here. I don't know anything about the sale of the Springfield property but I do know they are selling the property in Glenview, Illinois. They also held an auction of equipment back in August, with further auctions to come.

Well, MrDale (my hubby) is back to work at last, which is a good thing cause I am probably gonna have to buy another file cabinet for all the legal paperwork I get from the attorneys in Chicago handling all of this mess. LOL

 

everyday more and more trailers and trucks are at the peru terminal the straight truck is probably the brand new one that the motor blew up... seems like they are driving all the single axels.... I dont knwo who would drive that crap ive driven all the ones in peru and youd be lucky if the seat dont fall out under neath you....

 

im just as lost as yall im out of the des moines iowa terminal. i stoped and chated with the driver of a ms repo. ive seen dozens on I80 and he said he worked for a company hired by the auction company taking tracs and trailers to lasalle for the sale, would like to chat with anyone i miss my job runing line haul and some of the people i met

 

Everything here is falling to S#$t...truck broke down....1000.00....no towing insurance...120.00....cupboards getting bare....250.00....only 3 weeks of unemployment for me....PRICELESS!!!! (sure could use a check from the bankruptcy in the mail! LOL)

 

oh...almost forgot....got insurance premiums for next year in the mail...price shot up 100.00 more a month....now I'm scared! I dont think I have ever been this depressed in my life! Being in Michigan right now sucks...unless you want to work for 7.40 an hour..(which I am part time) oh well...when they shut off the lights....it will be dark in here! Food stamps here I come...how embarassing!!

 

My heart is with you..Everything is going fine for me, seems the Lord has his hand on us here in Mo. One of our drivers is a custodian at the schools making less than his unemployment but I think he is content. Two of us, me included are now on disability and the others are semi retired or have started up their own company. We only had 5 drivers here. Michigan is a bad place to be for anyone.

Poor management was the down fall fall for that company and I do not think the Hartmen's intended to be evil and just viciously destroy peoples lives. I think it was pure ignorance as how to run a large company that did them in and now we the gullible ones are paying their price for trusting them. I hope this lesson holds true the next time we trust anyone, especially those we vote for.

Pure shame Obama has not cured all of our problems..yes we can and yes he has not changed a #### thing...haaaaaaa Get over Mid-States, get on with life and do what ever you have to do. Sitting around waiting will only keep you waiting until the lights go off and until you don't have a choice. You can drive a truck, go over the road. Get out of this fog and get going.

I really wish he could go over the road....but with his polio coming back that he had years ago...thats not a posibility....I have a friend who is an owner operator..he cant find any work either. People just dont understand what its like to live in this state. When you go on to the Website for job seekers there might be 6 to 10 jobs...and none of them pay much over minimum wage to maybe 10.00 an hour. Now...just who the heck can live on that? It wasnt management....it wasnt that someone wanted to hurt a bunch of people...it was nothing more then greed....But we will survive...we have no other choice but to survive....I say my prayers to God..and I leave it in his hands....I know he has a plan for us...I just have to be patient and see what the plan is!!!!
