Used to every week. Last 30 years or so every 2 weeks. Good to get under truck and see how everyone is doing. My dad even had me pull the plugs on rears and trans to check fluid levels every week when I drove for him ( man he was brutal).

Not a huge fan of Lucas products, but their 5th wheel lube is great. Convenient, easy to use, and it's the stickiest crap I've ever seen. Once you use it, you'll never use anything else. Warning, don't get it on your clothes, or anything like that, you'll play hell getting it off.

    Product Review:
I was willing to give this product the benefit of the doubt since Lucas, in general, makes good products. Maybe I used too much, but IMHO, their fifth wheel grease is terrible. I thought I'd give it a try. I will say it's some of the stickiest #### I've ever worked with. However, when subjected to Texas weather, the grease melts like butter and ran off my fifth wheel down onto the frame.

If I could, I'd take it back and ask for a refund.

I've never had that problem with Lucas.

Each their own I guess. But lucas works so much better then that other grease. It even keeps my kingpin from banging around. And no. My plate has no adjustment.

Sucks to use in the winter time though. I keep the bottle in the truck to stay warm.

Working for an oilfield pumping services company in pre-logbook days, based in a camp 100 miles past the end of the pavement in the middle of the muskeg, get dragged into location, get dragged out (never mind sometimes we had to call a bed truck to get dragged from the shop to the road o_O), truck has to be fueled, washed, greased and serviced before we go to bed (if we even get to go to bed) in order to go on the next job. Down a pot of coffee and repeat. o_O

And we had it easy because the generation before didn't have bulk cement and they had to cut 3,000 sacks on-the-fly. o_O

Another vote for Lucas, but yeah, it doesn't flow so well at -40.

Don't forget gear lube if you drop and hook alot, especially in the winter. ;)
Whatever you use, keep it wet.
