As far as mileage and % pay scales, You made that choice when you finished up with your trainer. (unless that has changed) It was always part of the paperwork you filled out when they realeased you into your own truck. It was up to you to anylaze each load for % or mileage while out with your trainer so you could decide which was better for you. ( again unless that has changed...wouldnt doubt it the ways things have changed latley at TMC)

    cplmac2 Thanks this.

I almost always came out better on percentage, but I was the home every weekend type as well. Plus, freight was alot better back then, from what i'm hearing the mileage guys are doing pretty well for themselves these days.

Both Uvalde and Eagle Pass are well outside of the TMC hiring boundry which is up around the Dallas area. You will need an address within the hiring boundary or they will not consider you.

Theres a wealth of information on here from people who currently work or have worked at TMC. From orientation on, everything you need to know. Search around for it. cplmac2 and myself have written our experiences as well have others.

Oh and to update my situation, it seems I am eligible to collect unemployment after all, as I applied for it recently and got it. Since I quit in April I been living off side jobs and 401k money. I never thought I could get unemployment cause I quit, I thought to give it a try and they approved me, they said I didn't work at TMC long enough and since it was a new career move for me. If i would have stayed a few months more I would have been SOL . So its a relief to have back up as I look for a new career, also working part time here and there for my township highway dept.

Might look into something in the medical field or I have a few friends trying to get me into their unions, either Glaziers, Teamsters as truck driver or Operating engineers union which would be awesome.

So as it stands I am making what I made when working at TMC and I am home every night. I know lots were making more and I hope that continues for them and work picks up at TMC for those there or going there.
