well this might be one of my last posts on here. got my settlement and was available for dispatch while tnt had family business to take care of and got 225 dollar and a rate if .075 a mile. i will be discussing this with fm and stan tomorrow. because i have paperwork that says garenttee minimum 600 or .12cpm. i just dont know. left a ok payin job makin 440 home to 225 . really?
If you are on that truck all 7 days, doesnt matter what your trainer does, you should be getting the minnimum. You are available, you didnt go home. If your trainer is a L/O, its gotta be some sort of shady deal between him and his FM for not getting you the right pay. First of all its $600 minimum minus taxes, advances, the usual. its not $600 minimum take home. As far as the .075... although that seems a little low it might not be the full story. You have to know how to read your settlement A percentage of your pay is Per diem, untaxed milage pay. The rate printed on your settlement is always reads less than the actual rate. So if your settlement actually says .075 for milage rate then the travel allowance corresponding with that trip number should match .045 x miles. You take your "Trip pay" minus fuel bonus and extra pay, add that to travel allowance and then divide by miles. That should equal the .12
When I say all 7 days. its all 7 days of a pay period on the truck available for dispatch. Tuesday 1600 to Tuesday 1600... anything less its .12 per mile Most trainees initially get assigned on a truck Fri or Sat... pay period starts Tuesday, well that first week is .12/mile. Next week will be the first full week. Same thing if the trainee goes home for home time... getting off or getting on that week is considered a partial week... Get off tuesday night and the previous week is good for the minimum... get
I dont know when you got assigned and got on the truck... however if you were on that truck and out of the Campus Inn before Tuesday December 26th at 1600 last week, and didnt take any hometime, then you should have got $600 before deductions, and taxes. Doesnt matter if the trainer went home, had breakdown issues... you were on the truck available for dispatch and you should be paid... Your FM knows this, your trainer knows this, and payroll should know this (they usually take direction from the FM) If there is any shadiness its probably that your trainer is a L/O and your pay comes entirely out of his settlements. The FM would have to be involved in any shadiness too... Before you make any decisions on going home, get a full explination from the FM and payroll why you didnt get the $600.
