pulled from there when i was reefer our load went to NV got there a day early bumped the dock and was told we had to wait for a lumper to get there bc that was the 1st time they had rec a load from that shipper and wasnt sure if they wanted to unload bc of the way it MAY have been stacked never looked in the trlr long story short we paid a guy $200 to do nothing bc they ended up unloading it themselves

You guys still haven't figured this out, have you? WE the DRIVERS just handle the cash. The shippers are billed for the unloading services, so your trainer (like all of us) are reimbursed for the use of a lumper. Most states require a certificate from a tech school and a license to operate powered dock equipment - we can't even touch that equipment legally. If you are going to unload the 22 or so tons of freight in the back of one of these trailers, you'll get to do it by hand using a manual pallet jack... then sort the product by hand so it can be placed in the warehouse.

Ah... I'm happy just to let those lumper guys do it. I think I'll take a nap while they're sweatin'.

Well I finally arrived at Prime a couple hours ago. I got my paper worked filled out and am now waiting to go to my DOT physical. I have been studying the manual pretty hard for the last week or so and have passed all the three of the main practice test on here multiple times. I hope that's a good indication that I can pass my written test while here. I hate test especially written ones. That's the part that is making me the most nervous right now.
