Seriously, lately the miles have blown (<-I was not paid to say that)

but on a running average it really isn't that bad mileage wise and the region/turn truck deal I do is pretty much a magnifying of 48 state OTR trends. When miles drop a little for OTR I get killed (sub $600 pay checks) when freight is ok for OTR then I do a little better then ok ($850-900 paychecks) and when freight is good for OTR I DON'T SLEEP more then 8 hrs a night unless home and I pay 2 mo of xtra car payments per check. It is deffinately what you make it and I am generally positive but good lots did I take a bath last week. 3-5 weeks if still not switched to the local gig I will look back and think how nice the slow times were when I could chill out and not rush all the time. (<-I was paid $139.98 and a moon pie to say that ;) )

Was the miscellaneous pay in the pay stub for paid blogging?I seen some add pay in mine a couple weeks ago, wasn't sure what it was for.Must have been paid for some positive comments. If I post a negative comment, will "they" deduction that pay?

When I have a bad week, I like to say it is because I get more cents a mile than a new guy. That's the one you read or here a lot, so I'm running with it ####, I lost Blogger points for this comment.

You all are hillarious. Im in a complaining mood right now about miles but honestly I am probably just in a bad lane. Miles went to crap when I highlighted and came back to a crap run........oh well. I liked the stay positive 85% if the time comment......thats what I need to do now.

I think that's how you get the extra Blogger pay, "they" pay it on a curve.

This isn't my original thought, I stole it from another paid Blogger on another thread But maybe since "they" announce the across the board pay raise, maybe that is the reason for less miles. You new guys got a bigger pay raise than hanger on'ers get.Been paying insurance premiums longer.#### pay raise is still costing me $.

Just posted on another Conway thread probably the wrong one since I just found this one lol...My hubby runs a regional area rather than OTR and the miles are getting worse and worse...just got a $37 paycheck today cause of home time last week, but he has been back since last Thursday and was sitting at almost 700 mi and just got dispatched for a load that delivers on Sat making the week a scary 960 mi. We pray that they dispatch something on Saturday after he delivers because we are getting really worried. He really wanted a place he could hang his hat for a while but at this point we are not sure if this is it. He has been with Conway 1 1/2 yrs and just the last couple of months have been awful, we don't want to lose our house but too many more weeks of this will be hard to catch up from.
Would it be better to get back OTR and out of the regional thing or is there anyone to talk with at the company who can help. I would guess not because everyone would be calling lol.

If there are trolls and paid bloggers etc...how can that possibly be helpful to anyone...it's just promoting lies when people need the truth to make informed decisions. They should get out on the road and try to live and pay their bills off these paychecks. I am great at budgeting but even I can only do so much with $37. Thanks for listening...be safe out there.

Shadow.....I've complained a lot over the last week, but after having a heart to heart with my fm I believe its going to look up. Overall OTR has been great for me with conway. I've had 2 weeks under 2700 miles other than my home time week. 1 was a crappy lane and the other was due to truck problems. I complain about sitting because I just hate sitting. I want to work if I am making the family sacrifice of being gone 4-9 weeks at a time. The least that I can do is make make great checks so that my family stays comfortable.......I think you and the hubby need to discuss OTR. I know quite a few regional guys and most suffer in the miles department. I know even more that started otr, went regional and defected back to otr because the check just wasn't there. Other than a couple small issues my fm has been great and taking out my home week I have averaged around 3100 per wk. Let me know if you want me to pm her name to you. BTW....I completely understand the $40 check issue.....mine wasn't that much better this week. I only had 700 miles as of Wednesday last week and got a crap weekend run coming back from hometime on Friday.....lol
