ok so my story. i went to deliver at lexington warehouse and arrived early. called and was told he would call me back. so he calls back and tells me door 72. i have no idea where this door is. i start driving around the building thinking its like a normal warehouse and i can just see doors and numbers. NOPE. i see a sign pointing me in the correct direction so i go that way. i turn down a street and no numbers so i turn around and keep going down the street and find out it dead ends. so i back up the whole way back. i pull up next to a guy and ask where i need to go and he said building 226. so i get turned around again and find it. so then i start going in the exit door. lol time to back up again. then i finally get in the correct way and the guy next to the spot i needed to be in was stuck in the door so i had to try to back in around him without hitting anything all while 2 more drivers wait for me. then i get almost into the spot and i forgot to open my doors. so i had to pull almost the whole way out again to open the doors and then back in. man it was crappy. seems like every time i get sent to new york i have some sort of issue.

Hello, First post, first question so please bear with me, thanks. I've read that its better to go otr for a time if your new and I dont mind that since I'm single, my daughter is 31 and my parents are doing ok. If I saw them once a month or once every 6 weeks that would be fine with me until I got some experience behind the wheel. My question is I am reading that you dont have a DM for regional? If you dont how do you get your loads for regional? Is it the same loads over and over? I know thats dedicated loads but how does regional work then. Yes I know its only a region of the United States but thats what puzzling me.
Thanks in advance for your responses. -
what do you mean by dm? i have a dispatcher just like otr drivers and i have a home terminal. i get dispatched the same way otr drivers do except i do fewer miles and more loads per day. sometimes i get the same loads but really its a crapshoot. i usually know which places i am going to be headed from where i am at but sometimes he suprises me with something out of the ordinary.
Cammi Thanks this. -
