I wanted to make that part clear with new comers. You get out of it the effort you put in and even though your new doesn't mean this company won't work you. Sure, your going to have alittle slow time during the winter and due to the major holidays or run into the normal obstacles. You have to prove you want to work. Having a good road trainer or having good guidance is good also.

Thank you for replies. I guess my question is do you drive everyday or do you find yourself sitting for a couple of days because you run out of hours. I realize that there are a lot of different circumstances that determine how the week goes but I'm asking in general how does it go.

Been solo 2 months. Got 3400+ my first week. Burned through my 70 in less than 6 days. I got the distinct impression that needing to take a 34 should be avoided if possible. Now I just shoot to average 8-9 hours driving or 500 miles a day. Seems to be a workable and fruitful pace.

The greatest achievements of men, were at first, nothing but dreams of the minds of men who knew that dreams are the seedlings of all achievements. A burning desire, to be and to do, is the starting point, from which the dreamer must take off....... "Napoleon Hill"

My trainer was great. We got along really well and he made sure I learned the things I needed work on. We became good friends.

That said, weeks on end stuffed in a tin can together - even with someone you get along with - has its moments. You just gotta grin and bear it and push through. And if there are serious personality clashes, you can request a different trainer.

With proper planning you can run on recap hours without taking a 34, I do it all the time if you drive 8-9 hours each day as stated earlier in this thread you'll always have hours, at least I do.
