Frustrated by your miles per week? Instead of watching your miles add up during the week, concentrate on your miles per day. Your miles per day should average 425. This gives you 2975 miles per week. If you are under an average of 400 per day, I would have a conversation with your fm. Too many times drivers get caught up in the miles on the preplan/week. We drive 600 miles one day, 300 the next and all over the place in between. However, if you average 425 per day, your paycheck will be there.

I try to average 300 miles per day, or just over 3000 miles mon-fri. It’s complicated math, but my paycheck is always there (because of direct deposit).

I said it was complicated math. You take the household mover miles, multiply them by the square root of the unnecessary 30 minute breaks I take in a week. Then add the total hours lost when my load isn’t ready and when I have a flat, and TA-DA!!!! 3000 miles a week.

@mjgourl
LOL! Not hardly, she makes a lot more than I do. -
I try to average as few miles as possible. Chasing miles is in the past. Chasing revenue is a whole different ball game. If i get more than 2000miles in a week, i did my job poorly.
