i have a question about those E-LOGS there at millis, now every company has a different program on (how it will move) from line 2 to 3 or what not, some will move to the drive line once you go over 35 mph, or move once you go more than 5 miles down the road, some 10 miles down the road, now me i rather do paper, started doing that in 1992 and i can make those puppy's do the polka if need be, ha ha ha

As much as I hate to admit it - it just might be an issue for them. But check with recruting and see what they say. Remember to be completely honest upfront.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

    Merry Christmas! and Happy Holidays!,

I havent been on as I've been very busy but wanted to update my friends. I left Millis in November and Got a truck and went to work under a percentage, self-dispatch agreement with Schneider.

I have absolutely nothing to make a complaint with Millis. In my first 11 mos of this year I made over 51k as a newbie and they put me in a brand new truck when mine was disabled and kept me moving. I only left because of my "entrepreneurial spirit" and desire to learn the other side of the business.

I find I spend all my free time searching the load board so I haven't been on the forum, heck, I havent even watched tv. lol! Im home till WED am so ill check in from time to time but if you have ?'s I can help with in the future please pm me so I get a notice on my phone and I will check in. If you already have my # please stay in touch. I am very thankful for the friends I've made at Millis and hope to continue those Friendships. I'm driving a Teal T-700 now so if you see it , most likely with an omaha orange trailer, give a shout out. Trk# 99210.

If I were asked for parting advice to be successful with Millis I would suggest the following:

On a regular basis send dispatch your eta with hours available when mt, including 70hr and/or recap for next 3 days. ( This is a major advantage to them which in turn is a major adantage to you.) Make it easy for them to get you miles.

Take the straight pay. Though you may have a short term circumstance where you want your income to look "low" ie, alimony, bankruptcy. If your not in this situation we all get the same per diem deductions at the end of the year whether you were paid stright or per diem. I also prefer the HHG miles at least until your at the top of the pay scale. Suprisingly there's not much difference in miles in Millis' routes.
It is a FACT that both are zipcode to zipcode. This is the way trucking companies bill shippers and the way they pay drivers. It is NOT a Millis thing.

Take care of their equipment and it will take care of you. if you dont have a tire gauge, get one. I did 153k mi since solo last nov and never blew a tire.

Treat their customers like they're yours.

Best of Luck, Millis is a quality company and if my new gig didn't work out they would be my first call.
