Yeah, that lady asked me if I wanted to come back there for a re-test.... I told her I sure did. She asked why, after just failing me, would I want to come back. I told her that I couldn't dispute her findings and so therefore I thought she was fair..... so, maybe she'll think a little more of me when I come back. But honestly, hell.....it ain't her test and I dang sure killed that cone....sooooooo.... try, try again...

Where did you test? Please tell me it wasn't Albany after I warned you about Albany.

    Where at?

The alley dock on the CDL test is a pita when you have a empty lot, you lose your depth perception and don't have any kind of marker to use. They give you just enough space in Ohio to get the trailer in and not pass the line, have to get straight at just the right time. Helps to set up closer to the opening than the outside line. If they have the class B line painted on the ground along with the class A line, you want the truck about 5 feet or so to the left of the Class B line. At least that is how I finally got it done.

Glad to hear I am not the only one that feels alley docking is hard as heck for the newb. It is whooping my butt too. Stay at it. It only gets better with more experience. It does not happen over night.

As Dip already found out, breweries are excellent practice for the alley dock! Lol

and when you go to a truck stop don't always look for the easy pull throughs

go to the back and practice a little

comes in handy when you arrive late at a truck stop and the only places that are left are tight spots in the dark
