Well my hopes came back with a KO (knockout). I called Alice back just to check and see if she got my W2. She replied with "YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN DENIED." That is when it all came tumbling down. I asked her why and she said the director decided there were better applicants. So here I am, scared sh*tless. I will try to break my apartment lease. Go belly up and ask to live back with my parents which I haven't lived with them since 6 years ago when I was 18. I wish you all luck and good trucking!

I hope they don't use credit as a consideration. I know they use it for driving record. Divorce has really put mine down the s### hole.....

Sitting in Greensboro at a Food Warehouse waiting for my appt. Dispatch wanted me to try and dlv early. Appt is at 10p, they said they will call when they have a door. Should be heading back to Trenton after this for home time, and to have the truck worked on some more. Went down Flat Top and Fancy Gap with no Jake today. That was fun.....

I don't pretend to know who they pick or why they pick people. All I know is MILLIS is not a mega carrier. With around 800 trucks (compared to 18,000 with Swift last I heard) MILLIS is smaller and does not always have openings in certain areas. The fact that a lot of you guys are on here stating that MILLIS is your first choice (It was for me too) speaks well for the company, but like any company, it has to be run taking many things into consideration. Hiring drivers in areas where they will be able to get them home is one of them. If they have too many applicants in one area, common sense would tell you they can't hire them all. Sorry if this is not what people want to hear, but ask anyone on here... I tell it like it is.
And mspinner, this wasn't directed at you. I just hijacked your quote! -
No problem....Sounds about right

I tell ya when things go down hill they go down hard and all at once. I know my credit is not so hot but my employment background and driving record are pretty decent. Maybe they denied my application because I am unemployed. Ahh hell I don't know, guess it's better to not dwell on it. Mspinner I think you would have a better chance than I, yeah divorce is a b#### but you have years of employment which probably will help in the background check. I will try Swift and CRST, they are not the best but your right it will get me experience. I am gonna fill their application out now. Hope your luck is better than mine man.
