First six months of this years and I have earned 28k before taxes and 401k etc. etc. so 45k is doable in your first year. Only trucks that are older than 3 years are the regional frieghtliners and the 30ish Cascadias we have that are being traded in soon for new Cascadias. No apu's but they aren't screaming at you about idle unless you never shut your truck off. I can say during the past month I have been close to 50% idle from the heat wave and haven't heard a word about it. You earn 1.5 days of hometime for every 7 out, so if you stay out 3 weeks you can be home 4.5 days. Some guys I know do 6-8 weeks at once then a week home, that is between you and your dispatcher, but they will work deals like that if its possible. No Canada and NYC is optional with bonus pay if you do it. If you refuse they won't complain. I have accepted a NYC load and refused them no problems. When you refuse most of the time they have you pick it up and drop it at a terminal or relay it with another driver.

hey, sw6g take mojo's advice. I was looking into other company's and reading their post every other post was about people b****ing about somthing. MIllis form is the only one I have found that has all happy drivers. So the company must be doing something right. I read their website and fallowed this form for a while no need to talk to the recruiter and now I start 8/6/12. Now when allice call's she always say you have any questions but any thing I can really think of has bin ask on here and she says the same thing they all are. :biggrin_25519:

I hope this is the right thread to ask. I am interested in being trained and then driving for Millis. I live near the Trenton terminal. I would like to travel the western States mostly, but most of the comments suggest the travel will be around the Midwest and East Coast. I will be able to stay out 3 weeks at a time. Is it possible to get routed out west with Millis?

I've gotten there early and they will take it. I don't think they are j/o's if you are late, but it can depend on the person working more than anything. Quick on the unload everytime I have been there. I would try to get there early so to miss cinci traffic as i would guess you will be picking up in Trenton after. Its the exit where the T/A and two pilots are in KY before cinci. Not to bad, plenty of room. The gate sits on a hill and you have to get out of your truck and shut of engine to hear on the phone, unless they fixed the truck phone.

Its possible just not likely. We are mainly midwest/east coast/texas. I have been to cali and out to coors in golden co. Also we take liquor out to NV but other than that, not much west coast freight. IMO that isn't a bad thing either.
