Palmetto, GA. Is right down the street from my house. Always like getting those loads that put me right on top of the house.... Sometimes I pickup loads out of Spacecenter in Kankakee, IL..(dog food) and deliver to the petsmart distribution center in Newnan, GA. Or pickup a load of napkins from SCA and deliver to Sygma in Newnan, GA. next door to petsmart.

I haven't been to Newnan yet. Don't think I want to from what I remember it looked like the last time I went through there a couple of years ago. Bullsboro was like a mall road with all the stores, restaraunts, etc..

I went to Owens-Brockway in Palmetto.

So here's a discussion off the back of" company ride driven with pride "post. What kind of tools do you guys invest in to enable you to do your job with pride? I'd like to develop a list of things that either make our job easier or enable a better quality job that you can be proud of. Id like to see a new driver invest in a tire guage before chrome if u know what I mean.
here are some things ive invested in to help:
push broom, crobar(for pulling nails), tire gauge, tread depth gauge, spotlight for night time inspections and working in trailers at night, glad hand inflation hose, air tools for minor repairs as well as numerous wrenches, grips and screwdrivers, 3 16' straps, jumper cables, battery charger, 50' extension cord, wheel chock, and a cb which yes I view as a tool that helps me get the job done a little more efficient.

What do you have that might help me out or a new driver looking to be prepared?

    wulfman75 and rubberducky68 Thank this.

Mostly a little bit of anything that can be hauled in a dry van, with the exception of hazardous material. Mostly beer, glass, paper, recyclables, sometimes peanuts, animal food, etc...

I carry just about the same but also have several sets of glad hand seals. Never know when you have an air leak! I also carry a small set of tools sockets and things. And a rubber mallet.....for just about anything and thumping my tires in the morning.

Two major things I always carry - 1. HD jumper cables and the glad hand air hose.
