Taking an eight hour break so I have enough time to run to Eden and then to Smyrna by 11 tomorrow. Thanks to my last delivery I didn't have enough time to make it all the way to Eden tonight. Sitting in a small Wilco on i40 getting ready to zzzzzzzz.........

I start regional on Oct.22. Currently sitting in Princeville Al. Picked up a load at SCA Cherokee going to Saratoga Springs NY for Monday. Last time having to go to New York for me for a while. Not breaking my heart one bit.

Being on IL. regional you will see alot more snow than you think, I do and you will too run alot of Northern WI. and MN. and You'll run through Chicago 3-4-5 times a week and 80/94 thru Gary,IN. Which both can get hammered by Lake Michigan's lake effect snow storms.
I delivered in MN. Fri. morning and I woke up to 21 deg.
Was listning to a Winnipeg station and it was -10 deg. there, Its coming.Boomer 1 Thanks this. -
I kinda like running from trenton to lapel and back over and over. with a dash of effingham and milwaukee. I finally made it home after being rerouted after picking up in lapel. had to turn around and take my load back and pick up a different load to milwaukee. Then picked up at milwaukee and slept at west allis lot for the night again. Didnt scale my load and got pulled into the scale in indy on 65. If i had been one hole forward or back i would have been over. or if i would have had a little more fuel. Man i nailed it hardcore. It was like 33670 drives and 33480 tandems something like that. i was sweating bullets. i have gotten pretty good at nailing it with the spring gauge. Also had 12 regular kegs and 12 small long kegs and the way the put them on the end of the trailer i had to come up with some ingenious strapping. but they didnt move.

Once again I never thought that by going regional that I wouldn't be in snow. Snow in the Midwest I can tolerate. I've lived in the Midwest most my life. I don't want to deal with the upper east coast during snow.

well I'm sitting at the house right now and not complaining about it one bit. I got outta my big truck friday and into a lil freightliner. I'm starting regional down in georgia monday. Just barely made it out of OTR before the snow flies lol

I am such a wise ###, is snow a different color on the east coast as compared to the crippling storms in the Midwest, Chicago, Indiana, Ohio area. Lol just kidding.
slim shady Thanks this. -
I hear ya. Snow is snow. I get that. However I've lived in the Midwest my whole life and being since I am very new to driving a semi truck I just feel more comfortable in the Midwest until I get more experience. Plus a little more home time don't bother me one bit either. And yeah you are kinda an #####. LOL.Boomer 1 Thanks this.
