They had me running every Saturday for like six weeks and I finally said something to dispatch. He gave me the "You're not guaranteed to be home on Friday" line and I told him to check the last month. I've been home almost every Friday since. I may have to run for a few hours (to Albany and back home) but I get home most Fridays. If I am going to run weekends I might as well have a full sized truck. I didn't go regional to run weekends.

Thats what i was saying. I didnt switch to regional to run all weekend. I mean i appreciate the miles they were giving me but someone needs to be on the same page. i switched so i could be home on the weekends so i can fix up this house to sell. I mean i gave up like half my pay to go regional. I have a reason for doing so. But i cant mouth off to the dispatcher and i dont feel like writing Mike Millis since i am so new. I dont want to make waves. I also wish they could just call me on monday or tuesday and let me know if i have a load. The last 3 mondays i eneded up going back home. That is a 100 mile round trip that i really shouldnt have to make. the night dispatcher would call me to let me know i had a load the next day but i was thinking why cant they just do that in the first place? Oh well i should stop ########.

If I don't have a load with me over the weekend (which is rare unless I am taking a long weekend) I have to call Saturday or Sunday and see if they have something for Monday. Try calling them, don't rely on them calling you.

    Hi Samurai

I see you live in Fairborn. I do too. What can you tell me about your experience with Millis? Do you do regional or OTR? Could I pick your brain if you have some time when you get home?

    Thanks

    BT

I just applied for Millis online.. I'll keep my fingers crossed they let me aboard lol..

The way I take it, you have to have your permit and medical card already before they will take you??

Up until recently, I was working for a sawmill company driving a volvo loader loading trucks and spotting them on the yard.. I've always wanted to go OTR and maybe take along the wife on a trip or two.. ( as long as they are short ones lol)
