First of all. Welcome. Second if you read my posts you can tell that I'm new, extremely nervous and still out here having fun and making money. This companies drivers and others on the road are willing to help you when needed. I've had to get help backing, backing oh yeah trip planning and backing. Since being out here I've always asked politely and everyone has helped when asked. That's from a fellow millis employee to an owner op. I absolutely love it out here, I've made this my new passion and I'm making money doing it. Look forward to seeing you out here.

Sysco in Columbia SC got here at 750 appointment at 8. Still being unloaded had to hire lumper, 64 pallets eating my drive time as I sit. Had my dash lights go out on me this morning, used my map light to see when needed. Had check engine light come on, pulled over MAC 60 and then everything went back to normal and I'm moving again.truck is blowing white smoke every now and then. Pulls strong though. Earning my ways towards a new truck one mile at a time.

You in a KW? I lost all my dash lights in my 660 once. Stopped and checked fuses. All good. Restarted and everything was fine. All I could think of is everything is controlled by the computer on these new trucks. Computer must have got confused.

Yes I'm in a 2010 t2000. Yeah that's what I was thinking as well. It sucked but it keeps me reminded that anything can happen at anytime.

Here's where my nervousness kicks in. It starts with my financial obligations I have now, bike payment, car payment, and a few others. I currently live paycheck to paycheck. My current job sucks, but it pay s the bills for now. I currently work in a steel distribution facility dirty f**king place and management sucks, they bend over backwards for the temp workers and screw us company guys. They offered to help me get my cdl several months ago, I busted my ### studied hard and obtained my permit, passed the dot physical, and got approved on my drivers app for them, then they change their mind and decide not to proceed any further. With all the research I've done regarding schools and trucking companies and reading several reviews have turned me away from accepting a few that want to hire me and train me. Millis seems to be a top notch company with good equipment from what I've read, my only dilemma is coming up with the 5 bills down, giving up not having a cash flow for a few weeks and wondering how those things are going to get paid. On the other hand I hate my current job and know that one day I'm going to look back on this opportunity to better myself as an opportunity missed if I don't jump on it. Rolled the bike out to the road in hopes someone may want it. Decisions are tough sometimes.

Depends on the customer. Some places you can not get detention time no matter how long you sit there. It is usually 2 hours past delivery time. but it has to be a delivery time like 0800 to 0800 not something with a window like 0800 to 1600. You can always ask for it. just keep in mind that you might not get it.

The flex pipe on the exhaust may be busted. I have a 2012 T700. Mine started blowing white smoke like crazy but did it sporadically. The truck is trying to regen while you are driving and its sucking in cold air thru the hole while blowing out hot air. I took it to kw and they found the problem and that was it. Just a suggestion.

I had this happen a couple times to me also when I was in a 660. Was told it was because I didn't wait for the engine clicks to stop when I turned the key before actually starting the truck.
