LB I walked over ther their closed. Not a bad thing saving money and less fat! Samurai I was using 55 as a example I always do the speed limit exactly never over. And get my doors blown off. If it was 45 id be doing 45 as well.

Just some advice you may not have thought of, some of our customers you can deliver early. I always get there ASAP and see if they will take me early. You can ask dispatch also sometimes they know. If all else fails ask if you can drop it at a yard nearby (if there is one). I bring home $700 to $900 a week pretty regularly sometimes as much as $1350 a week by just getting my load there ASAP regardless of the delivery time. Sometimes you'll get there and they will say no, what's the worst that will happen? You'll drive back to the nearest truck stop and wait. Hope that helps

also playa you can drive up to 5 mph over the speed limit in almost every state without even a slight look from the popo. in ohio you have to be going over 8mph before they will come after you. (these statements are not valid in construction zones)

I've bee doing this and calling ahead. The only answer I've gotten so far is no more than 1 hour early for appointment. Or my appointment is usally for Monday and they don't have receiving working on the weekends.

Ther are sooooooooo many viarables to this arguement! My personal example: Call ahead, they say we open at 08:00, but when I get there they say if you want to loaded quick show up at 05:00. I have learned from other drivers the "true" hours of most customers,. that is the best route to take. Calling for me has proven to be mostly useless.

That place is freakin amazing and has been one of my top 3 places to eat so far out on the road. Haven't ran through there in awhile now though, hopefully soon to get me some of that chicken and rib.

Good advice, If I don't know I ask dispatch if they do, if they don't know I call and see if they will take me early. Some customers you just flat out know you won't get early, like an USPS load as an example. When I am out here and away from my family I want to run hard and make as much as I can until I go home. So getting in early for a load nets you more loads and money, if there is freight that is where you are at. Some do like to just take it easy and are content and meeting the delivery times and others like to run hard as they can. Example this week I went out monday at noon and with this delivery in the morning at 7 I will have 3100 paid miles and I am sitting here since last night which will get me a 34 hour reset in so I can run like mad next week again. This is one of those loads I can't get in early though, they won't open until tomorrow at 7. But I will take 3100 basically in 5 days any week. Some weeks arent like that though, but pretty regularly getting decent miles even during this slower time. -
This is probably too late of a reply, but that size won't fit its too big by about an inch to make it go in, I tried lol .... I ended up picking up the smallest white 700w one from Walmart and that just barely fit in there.MTownZ Thanks this. -
Thanks for replying. I have yet to get one.

I have done a small experiment and found out that 9 times out of 10 if you call they are going to tell you no, wait until your appointment. But..... If you just show up they will most likely unload you before your appointment time. I'd say 80 percent of the time I am more than a few hours early for my appointment. They may act perturbed but hey its your money your making. They all go home after 8 hours time is money to us, just being there is money for them.
MTownZ Thanks this.
