LB I live about 2 miles from the terminal, never had wings from that end of Cartersville. What's the name of the joint and how were the wings? I'm assuming it's somewhere near the closed Waffle House....

 

I was excited to get a 1470 mile run for menards. Until now, I am stuck in Iowa on I80 in a horrible blizzard. I am supposed to be home by noon Sunday. I am 165 miles from Shelby, then I have to go to Eau Claire then to Indiana somehow for home time. I am really hoping they just let me deadhead from Eau Claire home but I doubt it. I have plans I really can't be late for.

 

good luck. i am sitting in bloomington the roads are crap. tons of accidents. not sure i will be able to move in the morning. there was a 30 car accident here at this exit. im going to take my time. i would like to make it home for xmas. bad news is all this wet snow will be a sheet of ice in the morning.

 

It's right next to the old waffle house on the end of the hotel. 2nd Half Sports Pub is what I think it's called. I get their Jamaican Jerk wings every time I'm in Cartersville if I can.

Stopped for the night near buffalo ny. They are calling for 4-6 by morning. Hasn't started to stick yet but the temp is dropping fast. Kinda bummed out with how the last couple weeks have gone. I completely missed my home time last weekend. I was three days late. I dont understand why they couldnt relay me with another driver to get me home at least close to time. now I have my girlfriend out with me and I was really hoping for some variety but its back to wisconsin from PA/NY/NJ for the second time since Sunday. Add to that time lost because I sat for a whole day in avenel nj and a blown tire in Indiana. We've only seen six states so far. bah humbug. I suppose i should be thankful for the miles though. Just feeling a little let down I guess.

 

Hey, just wanted throw out a suggestion for you next time you make a run between NY and GA ( Depending on where you are going in each state anyway) But if you are running lets say from Weedsport to Albany, GA stay on I-81 instead of dropping down on 77. You avoid fancy gap and all that bs down in there and only add 28-30 miles on the run, but you save that in time. Try it next time and see if you like that better. I always take that route and quite often to be honest, than I will usually use Catersville as a fuel stop or for a 10 to get laundry in etc as well. Much better driving going that way in my opinion anyway. Just a suggestion.

Ppreciate the suggestion Truck IT next time ill give it a try. Delived a inner plant road to Trenton Brewery yesterday morning. Dropp there and hooked at the drop yard and get into WV and stay at Beckley Travel plaza for the day. Left at 0500 this morning and did sandstone mountain for the first time, had some icy spots in it. Fueled in Greenville VA on 64-81 and I'm at the rest area on I 64 E 169 Goochland VA for the night. 18 miles from my delivery to richmond in the morning then headed home and back out Thursday.

 

Kinda curious. My fuel filter gauge was reading in the 5-6 range the other day so I had the shop in Trenton change it and they showed me how to drain it. Now I've driven about 700-800 miles and its already reading in the 3-4 range. It normally never goes above 1-2. Could there be some other underlying problem.
