I finally made it home for my sometime on Wednesday evening...was a day late but nothing I can do about it... Made it down to PCB that night and passed out as soon as I got there...(was up for 24 hrs straight)... Spent couple days on the beach and then made the 4 hour journey back home on Saturday....asked dispatch if it would be alright to take an extra day at home since I was a day late getting home and said that was fine.... Then Sunday approached fast and before I knew it it was time to be rolling.again... Don't feel like I got much rest...was constantly on the move the entire time.... But 2 weeks and its July 4th... No way I'm not coming home for this day.... Left home yesterday to pickup load at brewery in Cartersville, GA.. for a delivery in Columbus, MS. At 0745 this morning... So here I sit in the dock still at 0930 untouched.... But no big rush here...still waiting on 10 hr break to be up.

biker dave Thanks this. -
Pretty good little trip there. Good miles.
-
sorry sully we don't get detention pay at beer distributors or breweries.
-
Yeah, that is kind of a bummer. I guess your going to have times like that.
-
I figured what makes it worse is it made me late to next load and get to wait till tomorrow am to get loaded for a 320 mi trip. Week from heaven followed by week from hell. Lol! Take the good with the bad I guess. Im sure my dispatcher will find a way to make it up. Lord knows I got the hours to run.

Don't feel bad for the last month all i have done is short loads. Last week i did almost 20 hours sitting in different docks with no detention since they were all distributors, glass plants, or glass warehouses. To top it off last Monday the trailer i had went down and swapped out with another driver Saturday morning to deliver in Knoxville on Monday the hub cracked and got to spend another 5 hours in Knoxville getting it fixed. Beat it all it was 2 month old trailer but you have weeks like that every once and a while.
Sully72 Thanks this. -
Well I did not get any bites on this so I figured I would throw it back out here and see if anyone wanted to comment on it. It's just meant purely for discussion and that's all.

I have no idea if this kinda stuff goes on but under the facts stated im surprised he was fired before being cleared or not. Seems to me there probably is more to story but who knows.
-
Well I figured I would throw it out here for discussion as I will be taking the leap from where I am at now into the trucking industry next year. I would like to think that not all companies would do that to someone. It is a scary thought knowing there is a possibility if you choose the wrong company.
Sometimes crap just happens that is out of your control as we all know.
