Agree with speed rarely do we have a JIT load where we are rushed. Comes down to trip planning and being prepared with information about conditons.

One of my fav. truck stops, the restaurant has good food, biscuits and gravy are all you can eat. Taco John's is good as well. Last time I was there they were finishing up the shower remodel since J took it over. Hit Iowa80 on the way back if you never have.

 

The showers are nice, alot of the plumbing in the bathroom doesnt work though. The restaurant is good. Ive never been to iowa 80 so I may stop there pending how I look on time.

 

Delivered in Roulette PA then got a load picking up in St. Marys to Toano. 2 hours to go 45 miles due to the weather and the last 10 miles where an adventure I have no desire to repeat. PA state highways,empty box,ice/snow mix don't make for a good time.

Anyone gonna vol. for the camera test?

Was thinking about it also, and a outside cam fine but part about drivers compartment also not so sure.

 

What's the camera test?

 

They are planning on putting cameras on the truck to monitor events surrounding a critical event like a sudden lane change or hard braking incident. Supposed to help exonerate the company in the event of an accident.
